Yamahas YSP-2700 has been awarded a 9.5 out of 1o star rating from most of the prominent review sites on the net. Its won several awards, such as the Prestigious ‘Good Design Award' in the end of 2016. What Hi-Fi has recently given it a 5 out of 5 star rating.

Soundbar Sale - Best Yamaha Budget Soundbar
We believe the Yamaha YAS-207 is the winner here, due to having a separate sub-woofer for seamless integration of the bass sound to soundtracks.
Most reviews give it a 4 too 4.5 out of 5 stars, with the points been taken away for
- No Google Cast or Apple AirPlay
- DTS Virtual:X is underwhelming
- Treble a little unrefined
- Could do with more midrange solidity
"The Yamaha YAS-207 offers excellent sound quality that is a step up from other budget systems. It offers a bevy of useful features for an affordable price. Build quality is excellent and includes a subwoofer made from MDF and not plastic. The simulated surround modes eclipse anything else available at the same price or less."
Of course, if you have less of a budget then the other models are there to fill the void.

Yamaha and Samsung are the two brands that offer great value for money within their products. Yamaha has a better known name in the marketplace and as a consequence you will get slightly better value from the new kid on the block - Samsung.

The Samsung HW-K950 comes with Dolby Atmos and has definite punching power in terms of RMS watts. Most of the authority review sites give it a 4 to 4.5 stars out of 5.
The Samsung HW-K950 has the following bad points
- Slightly overpowering bass
- Hesitant NAS drive browsing
- Midrange can be flat and boxy
The Samsung HW-K950 good points are
- The dedicated rear speakers deliver increased immersion
- Excellent matching of all components
- Explosive large-scale movie sound
- Thrilling Dolby Atmos
- Refined tone with great composure

Look, I’m the kind of guy who likes more than a hundred watts per channel to his main speakers – including the four ceiling ones – and a several hundred watt subwoofer. So when I say that I thought the Samsung HW-K950 did a quite respectable job, and much better than I’d expected, you can take it that it’s really quite impressive.
And I don’t think you’re going to be able to assemble a full 5.1.4 (Surround.Sub.Atmos) system for anywhere near $1999 anyway. Have a listen.

Most flat panel TVs come with an average sound. Surround Sound Systems can be bulky and expensive and as a result the sound bar was designed to fill this void. Sound systems do not change anywhere near as rapidly as the visual and so an investment into this area will pay off now and into the future.
